October was a full month!  The weather was perfect!

A Month in Photos {October}

October 2012

October was a busy month!  Anthony was on break from school for 3 weeks and I spent a few days out of town. As a result, our family schedule ended up a little out of whack.  We are getting back into the routine now though!

A week in Iowa with grandparents.
Playing in the leaves.
Celebrating grandpa’s 65th Birthday.

Pumpkins {Superhero style}

Anthon carved pumpkins with his grandma when he stayed with his grandparents in Iowa.  To be honest, I think he probably told her what he wanted and then left her to do all of the work!  She definitely put some effort into these!

Ready for Halloween!

Last week Anthony gave his costume a trial run at a local Halloween event.  He’s ready for Halloween!

Pumpkins!

This weekend we made a trip to the local orchard to get pumpkins. Anthony had a blast checking everything out (especially the corn mazes - yes, more than one!) and of course I enjoyed following him around taking pictures!

On the way to the orchard I was remembering the first time we took Anthony to find a pumpkin.  He was 15 months old and it was such a quiet morning. He wandered around checking out all those pumpkins.  It was perfect!





Unfortunately, it was also a little muddy…



It’s amazing how much fun we can have picking out pumpkins!

Pumpkins!

Who doesn’t love carving pumpkins??? I can remember carving pumpkins as a kid and it took FOREVER! I had to keep adjusting and tweaking to make sure my pumpkin was “just right”. I can honestly say that some things never change… :) This year we waited until the last minute (the day before Halloween) to carve our pumpkins. Now we are all set for Trick or Treating tomorrow night!
I used a cookie cutter on mine (great idea from Pinterest) and the boys drew scary faces.
