Halloween {Digital Scrapbook}

Sahlin Studio and Brittish Designs just released their latest Project Mouse collab kit, and I couldn't resist buying it right away this weekend while it’s still on sale. I downloaded it last night, and tried to print the cards for a paper Project Life page, but I couldn't get my printer to work. Hubby just completed some computer upgrades on my laptop last week and thought it was working when he left for California for the week. He came home today (YAY!), but I haven’t put the pressure on him to set my printer back up yet. Since I was anxious to use the kit, I tried it out on a digital page tonight, using Halloween pictures from last year.


I bought the entire kit here.  Even though the kit is part of their Project Mouse collection, I don’t think most of the elements are specific to Disney – just a fun all around Halloween kit!

       September came and went and I really didn’t take too many photos. How did that happen?!?  In fact, as                    I write this, I just realized that I snuck 2 photos from October into the September collage.  Oops!

Jedi Training {Digital Scrapbook}

I have been dabbling in digital scrapbooking over the past few months and had a little fun tonight with these photos. Using some Project Life templates that I purchased online, I was able to quickly put together these 2 pages.  I also used a few word bits from the Project Mouse collection by Sahlin Studio and Brittish Designs, but mostly I just wanted to include a ton of pictures.  Anthony had SO MUCH FUN with this!!!





I have been using our Disney pictures to learn digital scrapbooking, and I really like the quickness of the Project Life templates.

Animal Kingdom {Digital Scrapbook}

A few months ago I put together my very first digital scrapbook page.  I have created lots of 12x12 pages in Photoshop without “embellishing” (like this), but that was my first official digital scrapbook page.

I had been completely overwhelmed by the huge amount of photos I took on our trip to Florida in March (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Universal Studios Islands of Adventure, Downtown Disney, and more posts not yet written…) and have been trying to figure out how to best share the pictures – traditional scrapbook, digital book (drop pics into templates) or digital scrapbooking.  Once I saw the Project Mouse kits by Sahlin Studio and Brittish Designs, my mind was made up – Digital Scrapbook!

Once I made my decision, I got started right away, and then life took over and I didn’t get to continue working on it.  Now I’m trying to get back at it – I STILL have Florida photos to sort through (both Disney parks and Universal Studios).

It helped that when my friend Julie was here this last week we spent some time playing with Photoshop – that afternoon I started working on this page and then I finished it up that night!


I LOVE that there is NO clean-up with this kind of scrapbooking!

My First Attempt… {Digital Scrapbooking}

The last couple weeks have been busy!  I have been working way more than half-time, hubby was traveling and day-to-day life just took over.  I’m not done posting about our trip to Florida (I have several more parks to write about!), I just ended up a little side-tracked.  Still focused on Disney though!

I have a friend who creates digital scrapbooking products and I have been curious about it for years.  She recently collaborated with another digital designer and created an entire series of digital scrapbooking products that they have called Project Mouse.  I couldn’t resist – I decided now was as good a time as ever, so I downloaded their freebies and purchased a few of their designs.  I also purchased a couple Project Life digital templates to get started.

Here’s my 1st ever digital scrapbook page! 


I'm definitely a rookie with Photoshop, but this was SO much easier than I thought it would be!  The best part?  No mess!  I worked on this while snuggled in on the couch with Anthony at my side.  Perfect!
